Hilary Duff went to Joseph’s last night with some friends - she got pointedly annoyed, as did her friends, when asked about Frankie Delgado.

Cameras caught the Duffster heading into Joseph’s last night, where she was immediately swarmed by crushing paps. As she pushed her way through the group, TMZ’s photog asked where Frankie was. Hilary kept quiet, shooting the camera a dirty look as her eloquent friend yelled out "he’s up my ass" while flipping off the photog. What would Lizzie Maguire say?!

Haylie was just as responsive when asked where her rumored boy, Brody Jenner, was, flashing a smile and laughing as she took off into the club.

The star talks about her split with Joel Madden.
With all the news lately about Nicole Richie’s pregnancy with rocker Joel Madden, no one stops to think about Madden’s ex, Hilary Duff. But the teen star opened up about the Hollywood dating scene on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.
Seacrest asked Duff how she felt when Madden “went back into another relationship with somebody that is famous.”
She replied, “When you break up with someone, you have to deal with the fact that you are going to see them with someone else. It affected me, of course.” Duff also said there is no way to prepare for seeing your ex with a new girlfriend.
As for a new love, Duff told Seacrest, “I haven’t met someone that really excites me. I would rather be alone and learn about myself. It has not been the easiest thing to do, but it has been the thing that has made me feel like a really independent girl. I would love to have a great boyfriend, but right now is not the time and I can work and whatever.”

People.com does a piece on Hilary Duff going to the beauty shop on Friday the 13th - they compliment her on her fab bangles and play off the fact that she’s going to a beauty boutique and is a beauty herself with "beauty on the go". Sweet!

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted dinging at the Chateau Marmont in LA and they looked like "they were in their own lover’s world," a witness told In Touch Weekly.  But te mag divulges that there may have been a more serious reason why Nicole was keeping a close eye on Joel on July 9.  Just a few tables over, his ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff was sitting with her sister, Haylie, and a group of friends.  Although they were in the same place, "there was no greeting, no acknowledgement," the spy claims.

Showdown at the Marmont?  Hilary, 19, and Nicole, 25, have never been friends and tensions rose when Joel, 28, started dating Nicole just weeks after he and Hilary broke off their two-and -a-half year relationship. 

The story reports that though Hilary kept quiet at first but now, she’s lashing out.  First, she labeled Joel and Nicole’s relationship a “rebound” and said in the August issue of Seventeen that she “felt disrespected that he moved on so quickly.”  Then in the new issue of Hollywood Life, she take a jab at his new high-profile lifestyle with Nicole, saying that when she was with Joel, “It would’ve been cheesy to be a couple that just loves to go our and get photographed.  So you do wonder why they do it now when they were so against it before?”

Although Nicole has Joel (and is having his baby), an insider says that The Simple Life star dislikes Hilary for other reasons.  “Nicole used to hate it when Joel talked to Hilary and got really jealous,” says another pal.

Plus, Hilary - who’s been looking sexier than ever after a recent weight loss - is a “mogul,” explains the friend.  “Hilary has five businesses and tours around the world.  Nicole is just an ex-reality star.  She wants to be taken seriously, not just be known for doing nothing.”

Hilary Duff ran into Joel Madden & Nicole Richie at the Chateau Marmont. According to the news (and also in the InTouch scans from this morning) Joel & Nicole were having dinner at Chateau Marmont in a very intimate way. Sources say that it was not just the intimacy, but that Hilary Duff was also at the restaurant - which made Nicole uncomfortable and overprotective.

InTouch weekly has put out a rather gossipy piece about Hilary Duff and her "show down" with Nicole Richie. Of course, there has never been a cat fight of any sort between Hilary and Nicole. While the situation may have been hard for Hilary Duff, she has never been anything but completely gracious.

Hilary Duff went into the 102.7 KIIS FM studio yesterday to talk to one of her favorite radio hosts - Ryan Seacrest. He’s got to be one of the biggest Duff fans.
