Hilary Duff vs. Rachel Bilson - who pulls off the purple jeans & fringe boots better? I personally like Hilary’s poncho wrap. Really cute.
Haylie Duff took a trip on the 8th for the Inaugural Flight of Virgin American Airlines from New York to San Francisco.
Hilary Duff took advantage of a day off from tour to return to LA yesterday. There, Hilary met up with Mike Comrie. And there are candids of them kissing! Hilary looks really happy to see Mike! Cute!
Hilary Duff returned to LA for a short little break between concerts on her tour. She took advantage of the time to do some shopping.
August 09 Hilary Duff and new boyfriend Mike Comrie spotted in Vancouver - Hilary Duff waves to fans as they leave her tour bus:

Check out these great videos from Hilary Duff’s concert in Everett, Washington. Or rather, from her sound check. A bonus for the crowd. This is Hilary Duff being candid on stage, asking fans what song she should perform during her sound check. After her discussion with fans, they choose her new cover of Love is a Battlefield. She has to stall a bit while they do the sound check, so Hilary chats about going to the movies in Seattle to see "her husband" Matt Damon (big fan, so cute!). Then, her performance (good quality): Hilary Duff gives Everett another bonus song, so Hilary talks a bit more with her band and with the fans before moving on to "Never Stop": Although the tour has thus far been packed and, in some cases, sold out, the Everett show was only filled to 25% capacity. But the fans tried to make up for it! Her rendition of "Love is a Battlefield" was equally surprising, replacing Pat Benatar’s angry edge with a poplike ode to girl power. New songs from her "Dignity" album ("With Love," "I Wish" and "Dignity") amped up the pop appeal with edgy electronic beats — not as robotic as the Bravery or as club-friendly as Justin Timberlake, but entertaining enough. She closed with the best song on her "Dignity" album, "Stranger," which has a seductive Arabic flute and pulsating electronic beats similar to Britney Spears’ "I’m a Slave for You." Although the music lacked substance, one thing is clear — the girl has got style and a powerhouse marketing machine. Her fans left decked out in Duff hoodies, and holding glow pens and pamphlets covered with glamour photos of the pop-star-in-the-making.
3. Hilary Duff According to some sources, the queen of, um ... everything, Hilary Duff, gets around $2 million per movie. Then, of course, there's her fashion line, TV show and music career -- totaling an estimated net worth of $25 million, with about $12 mil coming in each year. What we really love about Hilary (besides everything except her teeth) is that she gives so much of her money away. She announced that she was planning to donate $200k to the Red Cross, and $50k to victims of Hurricane Katrina. Now that is really worth something.
Hilary Duff performed Saturday to a roaring crowd in Victoria. Here are some segments of her concert:
Hilary Duff performed in Victoria on Saturday. Here is a review of her performance: All these things make the thought of a Hilary Duff show mildly heartwarming. Because it’s stating the obvious to mention this show was for the girls. For hundreds of them, dressed up in their own pop-star finery, this was a rite of passage. Before things started, they were squealing, some bouncing over their seats so much their watchful moms had to anchor them back to their seats. But when Duff appeared, there was one more way to describe her, and considering her effect on the fans it’s a little heartbreaking to admit it: She’s totally bland. The electroclash-y Play With Fire was how she made her entrance, strutting down a staircase, flanked by four dancers in a silver short-short jumpsuit, drenched in ghetto-fab jewelry. The outfit sparkled more than poor Duff, though. The number was for dancing, but all she could muster was a few little struts around the stage, occasionally shaking a hip should she feel steady enough on those strappy stilettos. The pop princesses in the stands would probably have more pizazz in their mommies’ heels. The flash carried things along as hit bled into hit. Little fists were pumping along to Come Clean and Getaway while Duff ducked backstage for possibly the most anemic costume change in pop concert history: switching stiletto sandals for black patent pumps. The set stuck closely to Duff’s latest record, Dignity, a dancefloor-engineered collection with a debt to pay to the godmothers of the arena pop show — Madonna, Kylie Minogue — though amusingly she has been paying closer attention to the work of Pat Benatar; a to-the-note cover of Love Is a Battlefield was probably Duff’s most dedicated dance performance, recreating the classic video’s shimmying dance-off. The few older, frothier E-Z rock hits included in the 90-minute set got slight retoolings to match the show’s dance-y vibe. So Yesterday turned reggae, complete with a shout-out to Bob Marley. She could have done the song to a polka beat, for all the kids cared, though. What they got out of the show, never mind how good it was, were some skills they’ll carry with them for years. They learned that it’s OK to dance like a maniac to your favourite song, to raise a lighter — ok, maybe a $10 glowstick — when things shifted into power-ballad mode and to scream like mad when they hear the words, "Good night, Victoria!"
Hilary Duff waving at fans in Vancouver prior to her Friday night performance:

Dignity will be re-released on September 25th. The re-release is part of the new CD format coming out of Hollywood Records. Disney Adventure Magazine reports that it will be the "deluxe edition" of Dignity. That could mean it includes more songs and/or remixes of the songs.

Way to go Hilary!!
Here is an interview with Hilary Duff from 24 Hours, a Vancouver free paper. Hilary was interviewed by Buzz Bishop, who used to be a DJ on Z95.3 before it shut down recently, and who is an ardent Duff fan himself: 24hrs: What’s it like being young in Hollywood? Are there people dragging you into trouble, or do you have to go and find it? Hilary: It’s everywhere, it’s really easy to find it. I love L.A. I live there, it’s my home, but it’s really easy to lose yourself in that town. You have to really know what you believe in and stick with it and have good friends. 24hrs: So being focused on yourself and what you want to put out there has kept your head above it? Hilary: That and my family. I don’t like to live very publicly, like so many people do. I feel like I’ve worked so much as it is, I want privacy. 24hrs: For most of us, running into an ex at the mall would be painful. How is it for you to see your ex (Joel Madden with new girlfriend Nicole Richie) paraded across the tvs and tabloids this week? Hilary: It’s not really a problem for me to deal with it. I want them to be happy. Joel and I ended on very good terms and we ended knowing that it was the right thing to do and it made us both happy. So it’s not hard for me to see it. 24hrs: You still balance music and movies very well. You’ve got three more movie projects coming down the line, including War Inc (with Ben Kingsley and John Cusack) set to debut at the Toronto Film Festival. You’ve said this role is controversial. What’s it all about? Hilary: It’s a dark comedy. It’s about war and how Americans go into a place and blow it up and take it over and try to act like heroes. It’s pretty messed up. I play this over-sexed pop star that has a big spark, but not much to back it up. One thing that was so much fun about doing this movie, is that it’s nothing like who I am. It’s nothing like my music, I look totally different in it. It’s an artsy independent movie and getting to work with all those people was a treat. 24hrs: When did you become a hockey fan? Hilary: I don’t know anything about hockey. 24hrs: Well, with Mike Comrie (NY Islanders) on your arm in some photos, you’re going to have to learn something.
Hilary: Do you want to give me a crash course? 24hrs: Get down to Vancouver and get a good Canucks jersey on your back! Hilary: (laughs) Okay. That is so cute how Hilary Duff dodges questions about Mike Comrie!
Hilary Duff performed last night in Vancouver. Here are some video clips of a few of her performances. Our Lips Are Sealed:

Also, portions of an interview the Victoria Times Colonist did on the phone with Hilary Duff: "As much as I complain about it, because you’re doing the same thing every day, I love it," the singer-actress says of the tour, which stops tomorrow in Vancouver at Pacific Coliseum and Saturday in Victoria at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre. "There’s nothing you can compare to this. It’s excitement every single night, and a challenge to get better and do something new and inspire people."… the peppy performer — who entered the North American spotlight in 2001 as the titular character in Disney’s Lizzie McGuire franchise — appears at ease with the pace. "I have learned to deal with it since my TV show. That’s my life and this is how it’s going to be for me. When I was younger it was harder to deal with." Duff technically isn’t "old," which she jokingly calls herself, but she is something of a veteran; she has been in the public eye since she was 10… In an effort to grow with her fans, when it came time to record Dignity she broke free from the disposable teen-pop of her past. It was a potentially dangerous creative leap, she says, but one that even her co-star agreed she should run with. "I was telling John (Cusack) that I was nervous," she says. "And he said, ‘If this record sells 10,000 copies or three million copies is it going to make a difference? Would you change it?’ And I said no. I was just happy to have been able to have the experience, because it totally changed me."… For once, Duff says, people outside of her core audience had good things to say. "It was such a relief. For the first time, I was so happy and so relieved. You set yourself up for failure because I’m Top 40 and sing pop music and it’s not cool. But there’s a market for everything. Just because (a magazine) has a certain taste doesn’t mean they have everyone’s taste."… "I’m not the celebrity who likes to be photographed. But I have gotten more at peace with it."… "Paparazzi know where my home is and they wait outside on the weekends. But I definitely am not the celebrity that does tonnes of controversial things, so I don’t get it as bad as other people, I don’t think. When you’re walking into a club — yeah, they are going to be there. But if you go to a restaurant that’s low-key, they are probably not going to be there. Lots of celebrities complain about it, but they love it." Duff says she is like any normal 19-year-old (though we don’t know many whose personal wealth was estimated at $15 million in 2005). If she doesn’t feel like going out, and getting dressed up in order to do so, she stays out of the public eye. "I work so hard, so when I have time off, the last thing I want to do is feel like I have to look a certain way or watch what I do."
